The Law of Giving

In every seed is the promise of thousands of forests. But the seed must not be hoarded; it must give its intelligence to the fertile ground. Through its giving, its unseen energy flows into material manifestation.

The more you give, the more you will receive, because you will keep the abundance of the universe circulating in your life. In fact, anything that is of value in life only multiplies when it is given. That which doesn.t multiply through giving is neither worth giving nor worth receiving. If, through the act of giving, you feel you have lost something, then the gift is not truly given and will not cause increase. If you give grudgingly, there is no energy behind that giving.

It is the intention behind your giving and receiving that is the most important thing. The intention should always be to create happiness for the giver and receiver, because happiness is life-supporting and life-sustaining and therefore generates increase. The return is directly proportional to the giving when it is unconditional and from the heart. That is why the act of giving has to be joyful . the frame of mind has to be one in which you feel joy in the very act of giving. Then the energy behind the giving increases many times over.

Practicing the Law of Giving is actually very simple: if you want joy, give joy to others; if you want love, learn to give love; if you want attention and appreciation, learn to give attention and appreciation; if you want material affluence, help others to become materially affluent.

Infact, the easiest way to get what you want is to help others get what they want. This principle works equally well for individuals, corporations, societies, and nations. If you want to be blessed with all the good things in life, learn to silently bless everyone with all the good things in life.

The best way to put the Law of Giving into operation - to start the whole process of circulation - is to make a decision that any time you come into contact with anyone, you will give them something. It doesn.t have to be in the form of material things; it could be a flower, a compliment, or a prayer. In fact, the most powerful forms of giving are non-material. The gifts of caring, attention, affection, appreciation, and love are some of the most precious gifts you can give, and they don.t cost you anything.

When you meet someone, you can silently send them a blessing, wishing them happiness,joy, and laughter. This kind of silent giving is very powerful.

One of the things I was taught as a child, and which I taught my children also, is never to go to anyone.s house without bringing something . never visit anyone without bringing them a gift. You may say, .How can I give to others when at the moment I don.t have enough myself?.

You can bring a flower. One flower. You can bring a note or a card which says something about your feelings for the person you.re visiting. You can bring a compliment. You can bring a prayer.

Make a decision to give wherever you go, to whomever you see. As long as you.re giving,you will be receiving. The more you give, the more confidence you will gain in the miraculous effects of this law. And as you receive more, your ability to give more will also increase.

This Too Shall Pass

This week was a tough week for myself and my family.
My wife's father passed away because of massive heart attack.
He had angioplasty a month ago,had some more blocks in two valves.
Doctor advised that he was doing fine,we could do bypass surgery after a month or so.
Unfortunately,he passed away suddenly.
My wife was so upset,i couldn't console her.
We were away for almost 7 months now as i don't have a longterm project.
I spoke to her for half hour or so on last saturday morning.After 10 minutes,her brother called up conveying the message.
It was literally a shock.
Last december only,we constructed a new house,he was helping all along for the housewarming function,now he is no more.
Life is wiping out lives just like a duster in the black board within minutes.
Life knocks us down just like a rock on the forehead.
There is no more person by that name living in that body,just a vaccum.
We have to tell our kid that his grandpa went to live with God.
He is getting so confused that there is no grandpa suddenly,only a picture with a frame.
Till now,my soul is crying,even after a week.

Death reminds us always how uncertain our presense here and we have to have a purpose and fulfill it.Even if one is a king of a kingdom,he can't take away anything,not even a tiny needle.

I remember the book "Tough times never last last,but tough people do" by Dr.by Robert H. Schuller.
It is a great book on how to overcome tough times.
He was narrating his kid's difficult times with health problems.
This book tells us on how he was able to build a million dollar cathedral from scratch.It tells us how his son was able to get a land and constructed his own cathedral after much difficulty.

It is a great read and gives us ways to survive tough times.

I turned to God,i went to the nearest temple in Newjersey on thursday and cried and let my burden melt away in sprituality and asked for strength.
I strongly believe that we can overcome tough times.
"This too shall pass".

Love has no barrier

Love makes us more human.Love is pure and makes us pure.
If we have unconditional love,we become divine.

We are three brothers in our family.We had a dog when we were young.We named it as "Mani".
We liked it very much,we played with it,we enjoyed each others company.we grew up with each other.He became big and getting older.

Mani protected our field from other intruders and other animals,thieves into our field.One day he came to home with lot of blood in his mouth.He might have eat a sheep or something.He was dull for some days.He became sick for quite sometime.We showed him to the local veternary doctor who gave him some medicines.But one day,he was dead.

We cried like anything,like lost a family member.We couldn't bear the loss of our friend.We raised a small temple in stone where he was buried.We used to pray every weekend by burning camphors and scented sticks.

I can remember that scene of prayer even now.Even today,if we meet in our field for festivals or family get together,we remember him and we used to tell about Mani to other relatives and friends.

In 1969,two friends John Rendall and Ace Berg,raised a lion cub which weighed 35 pounds.They named him as Christian.They were very happy friends.

Within one year christian had grown into 185 pounds.They felt that they couldn't keep him anymore.They came to know about a conservationist by name George Adamson in kenya.
Soon christian got rehabilitated and set free wild in kenya.
In 1974,the friends wanted to see christian one last time.Adamson doubted weather christian would found them as he became wild.Somehow christian came near Adamson's camp.See the following video when the friends met:
